Who wants to stare at a wall? Remove a bit of drywall and VIOLA! Instantly improved the view! Now I can watch the deer walking by… or as this is in a subdivision, I can wave to my neighbor when he’s out grilling on his deck.

Great! No towel bar backers to spoil the view.
DW and I house sat a horse ranch years ago, the throne faced a huge uncurtained window complete with mountain view. She was enjoying the mountains and the horses, then one of the hands with a load of hay drove by on a tractor.
Did she wave? :)
Shoot, I always laugh when I'm watching HGTV or some such and see them put in a big picture window over the jet tub... a big picture window that looks at the side of the neighbor's house 20' away. What a view!

She laughs so hard when she tells the story we never get to that part.
I've witnessed some pretty bizzare happenings in adjacent buildings while working late on new highrises. Although anyone living in a highrise community would have seen similar events, its refreshing know we can awaken that downtown feel for our neighbors in the suburbs, or on the farm.
I believe a short stem wall would greatly improve the view from OUTSIDE!
