I've used one a little bit, it belongs to a friend. It has a lot more capacity than my little Emglo twin tank. It has cheap plastic wheels that will break but a nice compartment for storing adapters and such, two outlets, and a nifty provision for wrapping hose around the handle. Don't pay $270 for a recon when they are less than $300 new. I'll probably buy one myself next time we're framing, a good alternative to a large, heavy wheelbarrow style.
tell him to go to Rol-Aire or Thomas..
same $$$ less worries...
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!
Thanks for the info and advice here. I've been looking up the reviews and literature info and I don't think the 5200 is the one he needs. He'd love wheels and the cold mornings have been reeking havoc with his older oil unit (I have the same Dewalt and mine is a bit better in these times, I bought it after the twin tank, 3/4HP, Emglo Airmate burned in a fire and Dewalt had bought up Emglo so I still tried it...I think the original Emglos were better than they are now.)
My compressor is doing fine and I raised the cut-out and cut-in pressures and it does a good thing for it...105/cut-in and 135/cut-out. I've never felt a lag in pressure since.
If I buy another compressor, I'll go for the Thomas 2HP Renegade or AirPac, I think they are the ones now to want....like my views used to be about the Emglos. They seem to have it all done right....and tight.
Thanks Again
