You'll have better luck and more accurate estimates if you ask the same question of someone who lives in your area and does this sort of work for a living. Call a local Pro and get a quote. Installation and labor charges vary greatly from one region to another.
That is why I didn't mention the area. I would like to see what it's going for in different areas. For a normal kitchen countertop with one inside 45 degree, what is the cost in your area?
$39,950 for 100 sf. You provide all material and a case of cold beer.

It is going to be exactly what the contractor (who you have been refered too; checked his references; and trust) says it is going to cost. Nothing more or less!

Nobody in their right mind would bid a countertop solely on square footage.
About 6 months ago I did a granite countertop about the size you mentioned.
The roundover and degree of polish on the top outermost edge adds about $10 per linear foot. Same for the bottom outermost edge if anything more than a minimal roundover.
An undermount sink (bad idea) will add something like $300 because of the cutting and polishing required.
Finally, and most importantly, the counters are up closer to eye height so they need to be dead flat, which is expensive.
Cheap stone often has weak edges, which is harder to finish since it wants to chip and often is recut or discarded.
My labor costs for that counter ended up at $30 per square foot.
