I am getting ready to install engineered hardwood flooring and am wondering about the pros and cons of glue-vs-floating. Also, any advice on installing would be greatly appreciated.

Given an even match, I'd chose attached over floating any day. But you have a glue down and it sounds like you're a novice. THAT is the quandry.
As for advice, it would depend on the subfloor. Assuming it's plywood, I would have you rip some 3/8 to 1/2" ply down to 8" strips. Do a good job ripping as these become your starter row. Place these near the starting wall so that the last row is greater than 2". Then screw these down. You will now use them as a 'stop' to push the floor tight to. Finish off the floor the first day, then come back and remove the plywood to work back towards the starting wall. Remember to leave an expansion gap (generally the thickness of the material) on all edges.
Let me know if you need more instruction...
FWIW, there's an article in FHB issue 170 (Apr/May 2005) on glueing an engineered wood floor onto a concrete slab...written by Ken Fisher; page 58.
