Installing ridgid foam insulation over t
Hello to all,
Just wondering if anyone has any advice on putting 1″ dowboard ridgid foam (the blue stuff) insulation over tyvek? I’ve heard that this can promote mold growth and that there is some new kind of tyvek to use under ridgid foam to prevent this, but haven’t been able to nail down any specifics. Appreciate any help anyone might be able to give me. TIA

Tyvek stucco wrap is what you are looking for. It looks like it is has a permenent wrinkle in it, instead on the normal snooth texture of regular Tyvek. the wrinkle is suppose to provide enough air space to act as a drainage plane behind the rigid foamboard used in EIFS (synthetic stucco).
