I made an energy saving pop-in for a window in our bedroom. Specifically, it is for an arch. I used one inch solid insulation and it is covered with material to match our bedding. It is held in by friction and has worked well for about 10 years. For some reason this winter it keeps popping out. Any ideas what might be causing it to pop out?

Changes in humidity; either overall versus previous years, or swings. Perhaps moisture in the wall, or an air leak around the window letting wind push it out?
