Im building a one story addition and because of site restrictions equipment and concrete are impossible to get around the house for a typical foundation . Ive decided to build the room on sona tube piers much like a deck. Im concerened about moisture migrating into the frame and floor insulation. Probably going to use pt framing for floot joist and isulate with batte insulation between the joist then lay a vapor barrier over the joist and lay my plywood. Im concerened the insulation may get moist being close to the ground is there anything you guys would do differrent or any other ideas.

We have used houswrap barriers under the floor joist. We did this in the Office in which I am now seated 6 years ago with no problems.
We streched the housewrap out over the foundation base and prior to joist placement, then button capped it to the joist afterward. The risk factor was low as it is my Office. You may get better advise from others.

Look into F/B/F insulation (foil, bubble, foil) for your joist insulation. It's a better radiant barrier against heat loss through the floor, bugs and mice won't live in it and it is a good vapor barrier. You can find it at http://www.TekSupply.com . I think they're cheaper than the big boxes.
