The wall between my office and our garage is insulated with only an inch of styrofoam. This is one of the two exterior walls of this three sided pie shaped room. Heat loss seems to keep the garage warm in the winter, and the office warm during the summer.
I am wondering what type of insulation I should have installed. I plan to have the insulation inserted through small holes in the drywall.
I am concerned that I may need to install elecrical wiring in this wall, so I am reluctant to have the wall insulated with any solid insulation, such as foam. I am also concerned that the insulation may settle over time and leave the top of the wall uninsulated.
I have no current plans for any electrical work in this wall. I am just reluctant to burn any bridges before I come to them.

You can blow cellulose or fiberglass into the wall. Cellulose will give you a higher R value per inch than fiberglass. A good insulation contractor will dense pack either one to limit the amount of settleing to a vary negliable amount.

Good chance you have air leaks between/under/over the 2 spaces if the heat loss/gain is that noticeable. Seal those first. Best cost/benefit.
Running wiring after insulation is a pain, and pokes holes in the envelope. Consider running conduit prior to insulation, and running the wiring later.
