I’m interested in retrofitting my 75-year old stucco exterior, lathe & plaster interior house walls with insulation and am looking for suggestions about the best way to do it. I’ve searched threads that gave some general info, but no guidance on brands or techniques.
I’m inclined to drill 3-4″ holes into the lathe/plaster at the tops of interior walls between studs and try to force insulation inside. I’ve read in the threads to avoid foam as it can cause rot due to a lack of air circulation, so I’m inclined to go with cellulose insulation. My other question is whether I can rent a system to blow it in. I’d appreciate any suggestions or experiences you care to share.
