Ha! I had em talked into a Flat seam on the rebuilt back porch ( the one that had gravel)...maybe that. It's gonna be close to being ready maybe. Or something totally whacko.
I tend to believe it's the latter.
Oh, I got a check for you, mail today or deliver mon-tues.

Most gas powered compressors will supply that and most rental places have them.http://www.quittintime.com/ View Image
In a conversation w Tom Hay (COO/ Founder Spraymax Ind. coatings) http://www.soythane.com he mentioned that you can T two compressors together if you don't have enough CFM, This company also supplies the material to spray truck bed liners using the same gun (Fast Kick) I'm trying to make this work for me. Closed cell foam addresses so many issues .
I just used soythane to retrofit the walls in my 130 yr old house. Tom mixed up a batch specifically for this application. I am not finished the job but am very happy with the results so far. I am using the gun w/o the atomizer on the end and basically pouring it into the wall cavities.
The customer service and support I received from Tom is excellent. He will stand behind his product 100%. He shipped me a batch (Fla. to NJ) via truck, I was not getting the anywhere near the yield I should have for my application. He reformulated a batch for me and shipped up the new stuff and had the old shipped back on his dime.
Thanks for the reply Ted, sounds good. I,ve purchased a 2 stage 5hp Ingersoll Rand and I,m in the proses of setting it up to use Soythane . Do you feel that it expanded enough ? It seems to me that on Toms web site the video dosen't show the foam expanding a lot.
You could run two 5CFM at 100PSI with an adapter and two seperate breakers running your compressor.
I had to do this to run a sandblaster.

Look, just send me to my drawer. This whole talking-to-you thing is like double punishment.
Does Soythane acheive the same R-value per inch as other similar foams. Maybe I didn't read the sight enough. As I recall with other foams it's R-6 per inch?
Thanks,
Dustin
Depends on if it's open cell or closed cell. Open cell is R4, I think.

Open-cell foam (Icynene) is R-3.6/in and is vapor permeable .
Closed-cell spray urethanes (soy-based included) are about R-6/in and are vapor impermeable.

Thanks, I'm gonna look more into this. Met with someone this AM about some miserable Ice problems. He needs a complete tear-off (2 layers plus shakes), and I was thinking of spraying the cavities from above before I sheet the roof (2x6 rafters). This sounds like a good product that I would be able to apply. Anymore info is greatly appreciated.
Not trying to hi-jack,
Dustin
If you try the product please post and let us know how well it performed.

Who made that Soythane website? An illiterate 12 year old? I wouldn't use or trust any product that is marketed so poorly. Yowza! Spend a nickle on some grammar and spell checking!
