Paint us a clearer picture, please. Are asking how to insulate exposed trusses in a finished out living space or exposed trusses in an unfinished attic space?
If you're saying that you want to, eg, insulate the roof of a garage with an open truss roof, it is indeed a pain. Your two best options are to install a ceiling and insulate the ceiling with blown-in cellulose, or apply spray-on foam to the bottom of the roof.
The other options involve tediously installing framing and blocking around the trusses to provide anchorage for drywall or whatever so that insulation can be installed above.
