Hi,
This is for two wooden storm windows.
I’d normally just paint both sides with exterior primer. But it’s Oct 11 already, and this project is going to take 2 or 3 weeks, so maybe I can use interior primer on the inside surface?
Other info:
I stick with oil primers, whether interior or exterior.
Wood type – I don’t know. Some type of splintering conifer.
The windows were hidden away in my garage for 4 decades. Date back to about 1875, so not in the most solid condition.
Will face the cold windy northwest; there will be a lot of low temperatures.
Thanks,
Ed

Stick with the exterior primer.
The exterior ones are formulated to stay slightly more flexible is what a paint chemist told me once.
A wooden storm will need more than average amt of flex
