I’m in the process of getting the columns for the house I’m building. There are 10 total. Six inside, 5′ tall and four outside 8′-8″ tall. I’ll be using square tapered and none are load bearing but 5 will have to fit around posts already there.
I’m thinking of going with Pacific Columns PVC interlocking columns. Basically, the four sides come disassembled and “interlock” together sealed with site applied glue and SS nails.
Pacifics site looks great http://www.pacificcolumns.com
but I’m a liitle leary of spending $2500 for the 10 columns sight unseen.
Sooooo, has anybody dealt with this company before and has anybody had any experience with site assembled PVC columns.
Thanks for any guidance.

while I haven't used this particular manufacturers columns, I have used the ones from 1-800-columns...they went together better than expected,a nd five years later, they still look the same as the day the painters left....I wouldn't be afraid of using them, but I do agree they are spendy, to say the least
