I have a customer that wants Trex decking with no visible fasteners. I ran search and it was all Eb-Ty . What are my other options? The Tebo system seems pretty sweet, but a $300 gun and fasteners at $1+/sq. ft. seems a little costly. Thanks for anything you guys have for me.

I have the same question, but alas, no replies.
I am considering renting the Tebo gun as an option. What have you decided to do?

Hey Aaron,
Simpson makes a hidden fastener for decking. It acts a spacer for the Trex as well. I have had several installations using the simpson fastener. I don't remember the # but your builder supply should be aware of it.
The T-Bo fastener SUCKS. Don't wast your money on the gun or the box of fasteners. I wouldn't even rent the gun or mallet type .
I used the T-Bo fasteners once, on a display deck, for Archadeck of Charlotte. They wanted everything diagonal. Using the T-Bo, That's near impossible up next the house.
Good Luck.

I did a thousand square foot mahogony deck using the EbTy system. Thoughts:
1- It is a lot of work-choose board for proper length, align properly for warp to project in the middle, mark every joist on both sides. Then slot every mark for a #20 biscuit. Now slide the board onto the previous row of EbTy biscuits, using a Bo Wrench to flatten it, and simulaneously drive the supplied square head stainless screws into the new row of EbTy biscuit/spacer things. Plan for the extra time.
2- Excessive warps are a pain....there will be some waste.
3- the dang screws are prone to stripping....make sure your bit is perfect and your drill is set up right. Once they are stripped nad they aren't all the way in, you are hating life.
4- It looks great when it's done
5-you aren't hanging upside down doing it
6- You can do the entire deck with one guy, but an assembley line system works best.
7- the system is pretty darn pricey.
8-the clients will love the look, but hate how long it takes.
Your milage may vary!!Jake Gulick

kneepads for all a good way to go and pre-drilling is an option that should be considered - wood species, dryness etc
