I have a customer who wants a spa on their deck and is looking for a deck material which will not be affected/discolored by the spa water falling on it and will not be susceptible to rot.
The plastic products look favorable over the composites at present, but has anyone experience of Ironwood in this situation?

All woods will eventually bleach out due to UV rays from the sun. Maybe chlorinated water speeds the process, I don't know.
If you want to maintain the color of wood, use something like Penofin.
I think even the composite materials eventually bleach out.
