Without meaning to, I got a tube of Oatey Instant Solder (I thought it was just flux) at Home Depot. This product seems like a really good idea and it’s easy (easier) to work with, but I wonder if the results are as solid as conventional methods. I’ll be soldering 3/4″ hard copper water lines. I am not a plumber, but have done copper soldering in the past (ok, the joints didn’t look great, but they didn’t leak either).
Does anyone have experience with Instant Solder? Comments?
Thanks,
Don

Worked well for me, but I was soldering coupling nuts onto threaded rod to make screws, so I didn't have to worry about watertight.
NO !
