Does spray foam like Icynene function as a vapor barrier? If not, what would be the best way to achieve a vapor barrier when using the spray foam? Thanks for any info.

Mike,
Icynene is not a vapor barrier. However, since most water vapor is carried by air movement, a vapor barrier is not needed with Icynene. It's really recommended only in very extreme weather conditions like Alaska or Canada and in applications where the vapor drive is extreme, such as a walk-in freezer or indoor swimming pool. Some local building codes may still require a VB - that's okay, just extra time and money for nothing.
