Told my parents I needed to get an air compressor so they went out and purchased one. I haven’t done my research yet so I’m not sure how this stacks up.
It’s a Campbell Hausfeld IronForce (Lowes line).
6.25 HP, 150 PSI max, 28 gallons, vertical tank with wheels
7.4 SCFM at 40 PSI, 6.1 SCFM at 80 PSI. Runs on 120v power

I didn’t plan to get one this large. I was looking at something smaller that is a horizontal type that will also sit vertically. I want to be able to use some basic air tools: impact wrench for tires on the car, grinder, ratchet, etc. It will also get used for general use (blowing stuff off, inflating tires, etc.)
Will this be able to handle the air tools?

This is a decent size for an impact wrench or a blow gun but not enough for a grinder. If you are planning to paint this is to small. When purchasing air tools go with good quality like Ingersol- Rand. They make some great impact guns and rachets. I have the 235 and the 2131 and like them both. Always go with a min. 3/8" air hose. any other questions feel free to contact me ( I have lots of air toys, I mean tools).
It sounds like this one will need to be a stationary, home use only, compressor. If that's true, consider getting an even bigger one for that job with the intent of buying a second portable stacked version in the future.
