Looks like a great way to get started in air tool fastening. You'll be happy with your purchase.
The 16 gage gun will handle most all house trim work, and the brad nailer will fasten smaller moldings, etc., like for craft work and furniture building.
The compressor will do fine for the trim nailers, but would have to work extra hard to run a framing gun if you get one later.
The 18 gauge gun only shoots up to 1 1/4 inch, so it will not be useful for most house trim work. The nails are just too short by the time you go through 1/2 inch (minimum)of trim plus 1/2 of drywall. It would do quarter round and pinning 3/4 inch furniture however. You'd be able to do a lot more with an 18 gauge brad nailer that shoots up to 2 inches instead of the one that comes with this kit.
The 16 gauge trim nailer would be a good all-around gun for medium use since it will shoot up to 2 1/2 inches.

What is your primary use for the tools going to be? Daily use or just a hobby?
I'd say it's a decent deal if you're going to use them occasionaly as a hobby or fixing up your own house.
If you're planning on using them on a daily basis to work with. I'd strongly advice against PC nailers, having owned them myself...
The extra money you spend now on quality tools will be well worth it in the long run.
i would be using them mostly on my own house. but, i agree with you about buying the best tools you can afford. my father told me that when i was about 14, and i have been trying to chose wisely.
That is their regular price for that package. Before Christmas they had the package for the same price but included a narrow crown stapler free by mail (sells for $90 new). PC makes a good brad nailer and an OK finish nailer. I would not like the straight finish nailer, I think it is harder to get into areas then the angle nailers. Also, don't expect that compressor to give you big CFM's, they are lightly and portable but they have a slow recovery time compared to the twin stacks.
If you have money to burn or are going to use the tools a lot, the best I of each would be PC or a paslode pneumatic (not the cartridge) brad nailer, Senco angle finish nailer and a rol air twin stack compressor. But your at about $550 total for those tools.
I bought that setup about a year ago at home depot and it has held up pretty well so far. I figured that it was a quick way to nail up some trim and as components wear out I can upgrade. I used the compressor to my framing and roofing guns to build a couple of garages since then and it has held up. With a little TLC things should hold up.
Check around, when I bought mine I got $120 back on rebate. I was supposed to get $60 back and then home depot lost the paper work, I complained to the right person a corporate and she doubled the rebate.
I have a industrial duty compressor that stays in the shop but the little guy sure comes in handy!
Oh by the way it may hurt if you have a nail hit another nail right on the head. They turn into fishing hook with your finger on the end, catch of the day.
Take your pick on brands, here's a Bostich deal at Lowes for $297:
