I’m looking for some leads on a solar hot water system to install in our new house in the Boston area. I’d like the water for a hydronic radiant heating system and for domestic hot water. I’d also like to have a gas fired back up system for those cloudy days and long December nights.
I’ve done a good amount of looking around on the web and I’m overwhelmed at this point.
Has anyone built a system (s) that you could either recommend or steer me away from? I’m really on the fence and hoping someone can give me a really qualified push one way or the other.

There are untold hours of reading on radiant heat available here if you search the site. It's a never-ending discussion. If you're looking for basics, these people: http://www.radiantcompany.com/ have a basic manual online and are have been very helpful to me.
