I am designing an energy-efficient, off-grid PV-powered home using a 14″ thick ICF called PerformWall (previously known as RASTRA), which is a screen grid ICF with 6″ diameter concrete-filled cores on 15″ centers running horizontally and vertically. It will have a flat roof (1/2 in 12) design with a metal roof with parapets on three sides and the fourth side open for water runoff. I would like to set the wooden trusses into the 14″ thick wall at each end. In fact, the open end of the roof will have the trusses going all the way through the 14″ wall to form a 3′ overhang for the south facing windows. I plan on coating the wood where it contacts concrete with a paint-on automotive bedliner by DupliColor to provide some degree of water proofing. Simpson Strong Tie products will be nailed to the trusses and embeded in the concrete. Does any one have other ideas about how to better isolate the wooden trusses from the concrete which in certain locations will completely enclose the end sections of the truss? The Inside ledgers that others use do not fit will with the design.

Put a treated 2X6 plate down first.
Boss, I had to read it twice, but i think he is talking about running the truss joist through the ICF wall at the parapet, and then pouring the wall?
Maybe a third reading is in order?

Boss Hog:The trusses are 48" tall at one end and 16" tall at the end that goes through the wall. The wall continues up past the truss tops to form the parpets so the concrete cores continue up and around the truss. The 2 x 6 would isolate the bottom only, but the sides of the vertical members will be immersed in crete. In the 48" end, there will be at least 3 horizontal cores going through the truss location. Rebar in these cores will assist in keeping the vertical truss men]mber in place. I think I'll coat the truses where they contact the crete and then wrap them with a couple of layers of building paper unless someone comes up with something better.
30# felt wraped at wood / CC contact point..
I worked on the same situation and we used a heavy mil plastic bag around the ends.
