Anybody need a couple of framers / roofers for a couple of months somewhere down south or southern BC. It was (-52 C) yesterday with the windchill. It’s suppose to warm up today (-40 C). LOL. Can anybody tell me why my air nailer won’t fire.

The longer length of these 3-in. stair gauges makes it easier to ensure an accurate layout when working with waned lumber.

Pander, Is that Pangertung (spelling?) NWT? Nailer won't fire? Try gas line ant-freeze, works fine. But who wants their nailers to work in that cold, good excuse to sit at home.
It was a joke. We use airhose antifreeze, but even that has its limits. At -35 or colder its a battle to keep your guns and hoses from freezing. Just can't wait for that (0 C) warm weather.
Oh. By the way, I'm from Manitoba. I hear the framing and roofing in the Okanogan area is fine this time of the year. Can anyone confirm.
Snowed in Vancouver, B.C. yesterday and today ,if that makes
you feel any better.......
If it's snowing in Vancouver you can bet the Okanogen will get it's
share to.....
B.C. is a horrible province, just sucks, stay away.....:)
regards
ce's right, horrible here....daffodils are slowing right up, grass cutting has almost stopped, the ice cubes in my Rum'n' cokes aren't melting, and my shorts and sandals are getting kind of cool.......'I've no desire to hang around with a bunch of upper-class delinquents, do twenty minutes' work and then spend the rest of the day loafing about in Paris drinking gallons of champagne and having dozens of highly experienced French peasant girls galloping up and down my - hang on...' "Black Adder" (Rowan Atkinson)
Not only that...it's a "wet" kinda cold....goes straight to your bones....
That would do some damage to someone from Manitoba who is used to
that "dry" kinda cold regards
74 degrees here today, cant wait for this cold spell to end.
Cold, man, simply cold
I never met a tool I didn't like!
If I were you, the reason my air nailer wouldn't fire is because it would be in the truck, while I was snuggled under about 50 comforters...
That's just too damn cold !!!
BTW: A panger isn't anything like a sanger, is it ?
The person you offend today, may have been your best friend tomorrow
you -52 folks are nuggin futz. That's 120 degrees too cold. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I'm with brownbag. It was 76 here today, I was outside, in shorts, sweating my bum off working on my shed (soon to be finished by the way)!
Move south, very far south LOL

And this morning, I was skiing through 4 inches of fresh, virgin powder...and there weren't any mosquitoes, black flies, or poisonous snakes and alligators around to spoil the experience, either.

4 inches of fresh Virgin Powder, We call that a mere Dusting. We been getting dumped on , http://www.wolfcreekski.com , gonna need the snorkel this weekend!
Like Bob Barker says on The Price is Right, "Come on Down"!
I feel your pain.
I feel your pain while enjoying nights here in the mid-50s and the day hit 80F. I feel you pain while sitting outside a coffee house looking at cute Florida girls walking by in short shorts and tight tee shirts. I feel your frozen pain as I lean back and savoring the warm and gentle breeze and songs of birds. Hang in there snowman. Give it a few months and you might see spring and -10F.
Think of all the advantages of being in BC. Like the lack of any need for freezers. You have the keep the refrigerators around. With a small heater in it. Otherwise the stuff gets too cold.
bad thing about the cold here. I wanted a new carthart jacket, I like the black liner artic coat. Had to buy it a 180 miles away because nobody carry jackets that heavy around here. Never heard of them. Had to get it from Georiga.
new carthart jacket, I like the black liner artic coat. Heee-hawwww! ROFLMSAO!
Dude, around here, we wear that silly little thing as underwear. Although I have been known to wear my Carhartt blanket-lined coat to go out to feed the dog; takes about 30 seconds--it ain't good fer much longer than that!Dinosaur

Everyone seemed to have a blast.
Pretty funny seeing snow in the Coastal Bend.

My bro lives in Houston somewhere; gotta ask him if he got any. He's a former skier. Closest ties he has to snow nowadays is when he brings home a bag limit of snow geese....

Houston got a little. Not much. I was in Central Texas duringthe time and completely missed it. It went south to Victoria, Corpus and Brownsville and norty to Amarillo, Lubbock, etc.
We don't get much snow here and when we do it doesn't stay long enough for everyone to get tired of it.

Ok, I'll chime in as a displaced Michigan native down in Tampa. What a lousy winter. I miss the snow, the crisp bit of the subzero morning, showeling snow and working up a good sweat. I look around and see all of the Floridians complaining of how cold it is. Jeremy
Seems like the Minneapolis- St. Paul area is always looking for framers.
The average hi temps for Jan., Feb. and Mar. are 22, 28, and 40 respectively.
That's not including the windchill but it might be a heat wave for you.
