Jenn-Aire oven repair: sources of information?
I’ve got a pair of Jenn-Aire ovens that have failed: the electronic panel is gone on both of them. DOes anyone know of a website that specializes in major appliance repair: how to open the machines up, wiring diagrams, etc.? THanks Bob Chapman

I forget the exact name but something along the lines of "repairclinic.com", great resource.
Years ago I used to repair (or try) those things and I'm sure a lot has changed since then. It was always a problem to try to figure whether it was the touch pad or the circuit board which were two different pieces back then. Now? I don't know. The other thing is whatever caused "it" to blow may still be in the unit. Many a time I've cooked a new board.
Back then the appliance companies wanted the appliance tech to purchase all these special testers and then mid way in a year the company would change their design and expect you to buy another tester. Remember that these companies would make boards for different appliances and styles PLUS different companies would have their own designs therefor different testers would be needed.................and keep changing.
What I'm saying is: give them away.
God, I'm glad I don't do that anymore.
