Thanks for the reply, but all I get from the link is:
"There is a problem with the page that you are trying to reach and it can not be displayed"
Any more ideas?
This isn't a new computer, and I haven't changed settings etc.
Thanks
Andy
The link worked for me. IE 6.0.28. Maybe try a different browser.
Or maybe Taunton has slipped an anti-JLC virus into BT. ;-)David Thomas Overlooking Cook Inlet in Kenai, Alaska
JLC had some log in problems a week or so ago that appeared to be from hackers messing with redirects/intercepts. I thought it was fixed but this could be a renewal.

is the JLC worth subscribing to??
what's it like compared to FHB??
is it likely to be relevant to construction in the UK??
i've been thinking for a while about it just never got around to it
I've subscribed for years and attended my first JLC live show this fall. I don't know the relevance of bldg in the UK but be advised it is different than FHB. A little more business, code, and product info/liability...........I think it would be worth a note to them for a past issue for you to study. They're regular people over there, I'm sure they'd send you one to look at.Remodeling Contractor just outside the Glass City.

so its more of a technical publicaton then?
For practical, technical, and business advice on a professional level, they are hard to beat. Not a cost, but an investment in education and information. I have never let my subscription lapse..

And down near the bottom you can browse the table of contents of each issue.
Most of it is cost, but the departments and one main article is free in each issue. I HATE trying to read stuff like that online. But it is enough to give you a feel for what it is.
thanks for the link i'll take a look tomorrow
They have all their back issues on a CD ROM now, I think it may still be $99 for all past issues and I think one year of the full articles on line. I am thinking about springing for that but haven't quite got the checkbook warmed up for it yet... The information is on the JLC website under something like JLCD-ROM.
After reading Bill's comment, I'm wondering if you meant the journal or the online site. It's the paper rag that I was refering to..

i was thinking of the mag.

And best of all, they have top quality writers.....lol. I've got another column coming up in the February issue on Using Cost Book Data.

Can't believe no one's thought of that yet....putting a toilet bowl in your library.....I'd read so much more then.
