Noone in town is carrying the milwakie radio which seems to be the best rated soundwise.
Anyone out there try the new makita radio care to post a review?
I’ve been killing too many citizen brand blasters with dust and abuse.
thanks Rik

Seems every couple of months these guys have a special on the Milwaukee. It was only $50 a few weeks ago - and that's for the new one that will take the V28 batteries. Good deal if you can catch it right, awesome radio.

Ya but the rocket to launch it into space gets real pricey no?>>>>I donno bout' that but at about $140 for 13 months you can't go wrong.
Commercial free music on five billion stations top choose from and the freedom to hear people speak like normal human beings over the radio is priceless during my work days. And if I lived in a real rural area with no radio signal strength...then...c'mon! No brainer.
I go out to eat with DW and its close to a hundred bucks for a decent meal.... and I don't get to keep it...lol.
and Sirius Blues? WOW...and all this past week was dedicated to my man Frank Zappa on The Vault. Uncut! Need I say more?
Didn't think so : )
http://www.sirius.com (and no, I don't have stock in it damn it..and even if Howard wasn't on it I'd still subscribe....yeh, I still listen to him)
Be well b'day boy....I mean old man
avi dass
I have sirius here at home. Dale has the XM At work transmits to my truck radio and his too..but he has horrid taste in music and mostly we hear comedy...raunchy stuff that many a HO would find offensive, I always have to get him to tame it down.

Yeh, thats the thing about Satallite radio in someones home. You never know what they might say but your pretty safe on the music channels.
doncha love how crystal clear it sounds? No messing with tuning in the station although you can't be under trees etc etc. Thats the only hassle for me.
The bosch box has a cigarette lighter tap that I swap the sirris in and out of the truck
ah sattalite shmattalite it's the hardware I'm interested in I'm already nickled and dimed to death every month by internet phone cell etc.I've been downloading internet radio onto my ipod for a while and get pretty good varietyI'll probably order the milwalkie tomorrow the makita just looks too small to have good soundcheers Rik
I've had the Bosch for 2 years now, can't say anything bad about it.
I've had Sirius for a month now, can't say anything bad about that either. BTW, since signing up for sirius, I couldn't even tell you where my nomad (iPod) is.

Had the original Dewalt for about four years till somebody swiped it outta my truck.
Replaced it with a new one (same model)....had it another four or five years.
I aint gonna rave about the sound quality....with all the tools running a single speaker AM holds all the sound quality I need during the day.....but you can't kill this thing.
As others have mentioned....hook yer sattelite radio to it and yer good-to-go.
(((XM))) over here. No idea what terrestrial radio is even playing anymore.

Just got the Li-Ion 6 pc kit, the radio is ok. cool feature is that it can use ni-metal OR Li-ion batteries. The radio can be operated via the battery or a step down transformer pack (supplied). The speakeers seem kinda small and hopefully they don't blow. ( they shouldn't I've it's made by Sony ) The step down could be problematic being that it has such a frail cord.
Hope this helps
Are you talking about the Makita? Where did you find it?
