Q. If confronted with a chute that doesn't open how long do you have to pull your reserve?
A. The rest of your life.
*Oh nice floor btw.Job we're finishing up looks real close to the same will post pics after it's done.
*Creature....that looks like one tight little corner....great results ...was that a gut -remodel or new construction ?
*Thanks. It was new construction...not my favorite, but this wasnt a bad job. Here's the shower. I wasnt involved in color selection. Anyone else think the floor just doesnt quite match?? BTW...thanks to Rich who posts about tile on this site. We discussed how to waterproof the shower seats. Used his suggestions on Ultra Set and they worked great. No leaks so far...shower has been used daily for about six months now.Dave
*Nice ... that big shower is the size we call "bedroom" in my house. Notice how the seats immediately filled with shower paraphernalia, too bad.Is there some sort of handhold for getting up and down the tub stairs? I'd be concerned someone would crack their noggin.
*I agree Dave, that floor looks "unmatched"--what was their reasoning for going with such a dark color? In a similar vein, back when I was involved w/tile, there were always those homeowner dilemmas about light vs. dark grout (that match or contrast with the tile--dark shows water deposit build-ups, light shows stains). My tub enclosure has light tile w/tight joints and chocolate grout (to tie in w/the wood-paneled room)--it is not maintenance-free! Of course, this was done when sealers were not perfected to the degree they now are.
*Creature:Nice work. I can see where you got everything lined up and centered nice. It's hard to find a tile guy who will take full responsibility for where his tile work meats other materials - can't quite get that much detail from photos.I think your picture of the bath tub would have more impact if it had an international naked fashion model poised on those steps - any body else agree?
*Dave, That's a nice install. I'll agree with you in that I've also picked up several great tips from Rich regarding tile.Color combo's are tough, but I'd have also preferred to see a lighter tile on the floor. Showers in general don't have terrific lighting, dark floors can create a "black hole."Good work, thanks for posting the pics.
