I hate to say it but I really need to wear my cheaters for doing fine work. Small copes and fussy log work can really get messed up if I can’t see what I’m doing. The biggest problem I have is keeping the dust off the lenses, Has anyone come up a way to keep glass lenses dust free while woodworking?

I've just gotten used to the dust- it also helps on bright days.
I wear my glasses all day.
usually wipe them clean after I start the truck to drive home ...
then I see how clear the world really is!
the longer U wear them ... the more dirty U can see thru.

My need for glasses is directly proportional to the amount of dust I can actually get to stay airborne. Lately the dust from copes hits the floor faster then my work pants, when my suspenders give out.
Getting old sucks.
A photographic lens cleaner, combination soft brush and puffer bulb, works far better than cloths on glasses and such. At least one friend got his own to keep his glasses clean on the job.
I have used anti-static spray, like that used on computer monitors, helps. Some lens cleaning compounds and liquids have this in them but the spray anti-static works better for me. Be careful not to harm the lens materials or coatings. So far I can't say I have had any problems with the computer spray but note that it seems to work better if the surface is made very clean beforehand.
Where possible a quick squirt of water, a tap or water barrel, is good. The water removing grime without damaging the lenses. The lenses can be wiped dry but to prevent scratching it is better to shake the glasses to get he majority off and to allow any small amount remaining evaporate.
This only happens while your eyes are still good enough to tell clean glasses from dirty. Wait a few years and you'll hardly notice.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
