Kick Space Heater Recomendations
Am remodeling my kitchen (12′ x 15′ with one exterior wall) and need to replace the old cast hot water raditor unit with a kickspace heater due to space constaints.
Does anyone have any recos on what brands/models are best (ease of instalation, low noise, effectiveness, best features)?
Any brands/models I should stay away from?
Any tips or experience would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, George

ive used beacon morris toe kick heaters in the past with no problem. other companies are out there as well, progress, ....
In a recent kitchen reconfiguration and renovation project I eliminated 11'-12' of heating baseboard. At the time I found the "Quiet-One KS 2006" to be a suitable kickspace heater to make up for the lost heat. It turned out the space was fine even with reduction in the heat. I never got around to hooking up the unit which is sitting here (the plumbing is done). The connections are straight forward. There is rigid half-inch copper at the heater, one each for hot water going in and coming out. In your hot water pipe you need corresponding half-inch stubs. Then you install flex pipe with clamps. As I recall some flex pipe is supplied with the unit along with clamps, though I had bought extra for the length. As best as I recall you have to hard-wire the unit into power, since there is a two speed fan in the unit. Now another project is brewing which might eliminate hot water heating in the house.
