I am looking for information on an hourly rate. I am employed at a Kichen and Bath Design center as a technical assistant. I have installed a number of displays in the showroom. I am a highly skilled carpenter with 30 years experience in finish carpentry and kitchen installation. The company is establishing an in-house kitchen installation crew. I have been approached to be the lead installer. I would like to know what the going hourly rate is for a person of my capabilties.
Thank you.

Are you looking for your hourly rate or your companies charge out rate?
$25-$30 per hour is a decent wage for installers here but they are charged out at about $45-$50.............
What did you make before you became a technical assistant?
Is it the cabinet installers job to caulk between the trim and the wall or the painters?
I hear it both ways and it never gets done....................I'm curious on your take?

It depends on how productive you can be. If you can make money for the company they have to make money for you.
A highly skilled carpenter who can also solve all the little problems that go along with kitchen installations should command $30 plus bennies. Thats only if you can close out projects with a happy client and no punch list.
It'll depend what part of the country you are in. Thirty is probably average for a top hand with his head on his shoulders and his eyes open
