I’m remodeling my kitchen and I moving the sink and I’m stumped as to how to re-route the drain so I can get it to the back of the sink base unit. If I build out the wall running parallel to the side of the cabinet (pic 1)the wall will extend out into the archway. Not a problem if door way was sqaure at the top but it’s arched,(arch top not visible in pic) getting the drywall to tie in with the drywall on the arch will be a hassle to get it to look right. I think the only way will be to run the drain line on the inside of the cabinet which I’m not keen on because of it being visible. Hope this all makes sense. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just how much of a problem is seeing the pipe? Don't you store stuff in the cabs? If all that really bugs you, then run the pipe thru the cab and put a false back to hide - you'll only lose 2".
All the best...
To those who know - this may be obvious. To those who don't - I hope I've helped.
Piko,
Thanks. It's not the problem with the back, the drain will be approaching from the front. I'll have to run it down the inside side at door level. Clearly visible each time the door was opened. Then I would pop it out the back and over into the back of the sink base unit. I'm just wondering how tough will it be to narrow a door arch on one side by 1", giving me enough space to frame a wall and have enough space to run the drain and supply lines in the wall and still have a balanced arch that looks good.
