Know anything about electric boilers??
I need to install an electric boiler in the next several months for a 3000’house I’m building. It will have radiant heated floors throughout. I know all about gas &oil fired boilers, but don’t know squat about electric ones. (side note: electric is cheaper than oil here, you have to love hydro-power).
My heating designer has very limited experince with electric also. I had wanted to use a regular water heater, but they can’t produce the temps needed (150degree range).
So does anybody have any recommendations on brands or models to use or avoid. I am located in Sitka AK so parts for anything are difficult to come by and that won’t guide my decision much.
Thanks

Are you sure you need 150 for your infloor?
Yes , I need water in the 140-150 degree range. the radiant tubing is going to be suspended under the floor.
We all heat with electric here, because the rates are so low. And it gets cold here, too. Real cold. The next town over, Saranac Lake, NY, is mentioned during the winter months as the nation's coldest spot, quite often on the morning weather reports.
My plumbing and heating sub is a real pro, and his preferred brand is Argo. I used one in the last house I completed.
Be sure your guys use an outside thermometer linked in with Tekmar controls.
