Here is the note I posted in their online comment submission form on their website:
I have the PSSR16, and it has stopped retracting. I’ve had it for about
a year, and i don’t have the original receipt for it either. Is there any kind of warranty on this product?
This was the reply the next business day:
Hi Paul,
Sorry about the inconvenience with your tape measure.
I will get you a PSSR-16′ tape measure shipped out as a replacement. You
can expect it in about 4-5 business days.Best Regards,

… and sure enough, I got a new one in the mail within the week. Quick, easy, and informal – as if I visited their hardware store twice a week and they knew about my kids.
So kudos to FastCap, for being good to this customer. I thought I’d return the good will.

I recently bought some Kichler UC lights, but one of them was missing the special 3/8 connector for the flex...I wrote them and the guy sent me three boxes which contained 6 fittings EACH ,so now I got 17 spare connectors..woohoo
and I have always had good luck with their CS
I have also had excellent service from Pelican regarding their flashlights

I have busted, bent, or lost various small parts of the LaserJamb I got from them, on which we affix our PLS lasers. Every time, without fail, they send me the parts in a pouch, free of charge, no questions asked.
They are absolutely the best!
If they've got what I am after, I buy it from them.
I'm about ready to spring for their cool little scribe compass.
I broke a part of one of my new 3rd hands, they shipped out the part immediately when I called, and did it for free, even though I offered to pay.
I also just bought a couple of their tape measures, and the clips were different than what was advertised, they were going through a redesign and had to use normal style clips until they got the new ones. They scrounged up two of the prototypes and sent them to me right away.
Heck, they even gave me the owners cell phone number when they asked if I had any ideas to improve the tools and I did have one. So I could call him and leave a message with it. This absolutely blew my mind. Huge fan of the company.
I've been really impressed with the products that FastCap has come up with over the last couple of years. Ought to buy stock in that company at the rate that they're cranking out best sellers...
Accuscribe, 2P-10 adhesive, Flatback tape measure, peel-n-stick edge banding (no more iron!), I'm sure the list goes on...

Their catalog has a much less expensive version of the laser holder for the third hand, but even their web site does not list it. I sent in an e-mail and got a fast reply letting me know when this product was coming out.
It amazes me how many businesses have a web site yet still reply to e-mails once a month, if ever. It was nice to get a friendly, informal response so fast.
...and yeah, they have a lot of winners in that catalog....that's not a mistake, it's rustic
I was having problems with a freud blade I bought last fall. After a couple of back and forth e-mails with their technical department, they said send in the blade (12 inch) for them to take a look at. They received the blade last wednesday and I got a brand new blade delivered yesterday.
I can't say enough when a company stands by their product and resolves problems so quickly.
