The best way is to glue up the sheet to the wall b/4 the uppers and counter top are in.
And
You don't want to cut any square corners for outlets or turns up or down. A corner can mean a crack out of it later on.
You can use contact adhesive (final once it touches)
or you can use trowel on adhesive meant for some sort of plastic sheeting (not rubber basebd.)............(some movement allowed when installing).
PVA works for me...
I usually use titebond original or a similar generic. Whatever you use you're not going to bond stronger than the drywall paper will support, but thats sufficient anyway.
Since drywall and p lam expand and contract at different rates no glue will provide a long term complete bond anyway, or so is my experience. If the splash is behind the cabs, a few outlet covers or a bit of trim so much the better. It doesn't take much to hold it..
The yellow glue approach requires some method to hold it before cure is complete. Contact glue can be a complete nightmare to align on a wall if there are any complications like a bunch of outlets etc.
