Hi! I will be installing a laminate snap lock floor in a new home. It’s the hardboard stuff with the laminate overlay. Anyway, the subfloor is 3/4″ OSB and the surface is very irregular. My intention is to glue and nail down 1/2″ plywood for an underlayment, then use a leveling compound to bring the flooring plane to the required 1/8″ tolerance as per the manufacturer. With the price of plywood like it is, I’ll probably use sheathing grade plywood for the underlayment. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanx! Don
