Laminate flooring–Glue seams to avoid water inflltration?
Hi guys. Thanks for letting me post here.
Question– Does anyone out here have much experience in laying laminate floors? I’ve put a couple down. First off, I know what they are, their pluses and minuses. I know they aren’t wood and never will be. But I’ve got Dogs and they actually work pretty well with them. Long story short–presently, I have it just in my living room. Its a cheaper laminate but like I said, its held up pretty well. I’d like to upgrade and run it throughout my entire downstairs.
Onto my question–If there is one negative, it is that the laminate does tend to bubble up in some spots where water gets into the seams. Its not horribly noticeable. In fact, you have to be in the right light to even notice it. But if possible, I’d like to avoid this with the next floor. Do you guys think it would it help to glue the seams with a glue like Titebond 3? Would this help to seal things up?
Any thoughts much appreciated. thanks guys.

Yes
Anything that lessens the infiltration will help.
B/4 click loc
there was a proprietary glue for laminate floors.
It was a white glue and cleaned up nice, didn't ooze out after wards and I assume, set quick so you didn't get the puffup too bad. I don't know if it's still manufactured or even offered, but that would be my first choice.
Still, when you need to knock off the nub on the click loc for when you have to slide two pcs together, they recommend ordinary wood glue.
Yup
I would use the white glue sold for floating, glue-together engineered flooring
