i’m thinking about installing a laminate floor in a 3 season porch. what’s the thinking on how it will hold up while exposed to protected, yet still exposed, exterior conditions? thanks.

On a wood floor or a slab?
Laminate flooring is expensive, and would not be a good product to install in a three season, unheated, room. Since the backing is always a composite material, if you cannot control the humidity/moisture that the floor is exposed to, it will fail prematurely.
On a wood floor, I would use a solid wood product, or exterior carpet.
On a slab, you could stain it, tile it, do a patterned conc overlay......
