Sorry if this has been covered before, a search yielded a message to contact my system administrator, but no results.
We are looking to put a hardwood floor in our bedroom. Because it is below grade, we are concentrating on engineered products. Does anyone have experience with Lauzon flooring? Their samples look great, but the lengths are fairly short (18 and 28″) and I’m having trouble picturing what that will look like in my head. The other thing that worries me a little is that the tongue looks small compared to other wood floors I’m familiar with. Is it really nailable (staples, really), like they say? We’re concentrating on Lauzon because we want something besides oak (brazilian cherry), we want strips rather than those boards that look like a laminate (several strips on one board, such as Kahrs offers), and we’d like to avoid the beveled products.
So, any comments on Lauzon, or suggestions for better products for this application? Also, has anybody ever worked with FloorGods.com? There is no distributor in our area and the only way to get it is to order it.
Thanks very much,
Amy

Bump to top.
You might as over on Jeff Hoskins website. See if the offers it or has similar products.
Kahrs also offers a single strip floating floor 5/8" thick engineered. This eliminates the 3 strips normally seen. Also it is a floating wood lock system with 8' long boards rather than the usual 4-5' boards.
I bought mine for a 2700' house, 1950' wood, for less than $10,000 delivered. I used the 3 strip and am happy with the results. The top veneer is the same thickness as you would get from a 3/4" thk tongue & groove floor and can be sanded when needed. The best part is I had considered contracting it out to free myself for other things but when the quotes started coming in at $32,000, I decided to try it myself.
I think it will take less than 5 days to complete based on the 600' I've finished. I bought it online at ifloor.com and it arrived from Florida (to Massachusetts) in 5 days.
