I need to patch an old oak strip floor where I removed a wall (which ran @ a right angle to the flooring… I plan on putting a 1×6 oak board as a border in the void & am wondering if its ok to face nail the flooring where it meets the new border piece… also have to replace wood strip flooring in area that the floor has a noticeable hump in it, can I use floor leveler to lessen the uneveness or is their a better solution??
