I’ve installed a few linoleum floors using a paper template that I made first of floor area.
Getting ready to lay another one. Are their any tips for doing it with out making the paper template. Other words, rolling it out and cutting it to fit as you go. Obviously more risky than the template method, but don’t the flooring guy’s do it this way?
thanks

Flooring guys I knew made a template, took it back to the shop and cut the vinyl there and brought it back to the house. Vinyl is so fragile, it kinks and gets fold marks and tears if you aren't careful with it. You can also cut it a couple inches big in every direction and then lay it in and use a knife to trim it to fit in place. But it's not like carpet where you thow it down and bend it back and cut it to fit.
IMHO Having been and now a retired union cpt/lino installer, there are many numerous to install the products you have mention. Keep trying different things as we all learn from are mistakes
