I know that most guys are reluctant to use the sliding TV shelf hardware, but what about lazy susan hardware for TVs?
Anyone have favorites?
Things to avoid?
Thanks,
Dan

Check out Designing Entertainment Centers in FHB #120, pp72-75. There's some good hardware advice in there from a guy who makes his living building entertainment centers. If you don't have the issue, check your library or call TP customer service and they'll happily sell you a back issue.

*And one of these days, we are told, FH will begin to sell single articles, on-line, at a presumably reasonable price. But do not under any circumstances hold your breath..............Perhaps if more forum regulars politely REQUESTED such a service?
*Or CD's, like JLC...Wishfully, Steve
*Thanks Andy, I knew there was an article somewhere, but hadn't delved into the stack yet.DanP.S., I'll quietly request such a service as Jim suggested...
*Dan,Accuride makes a good unit.......so does KV.Ed. williams
*Steve,Good point. CD's would be good, especially for building professionals who want/need quick and comprehensive library on their computer. Also, tree-friendly, shelf-friendly, search-friendly.....It would seem to me that selling articles on-line is part of what the internet should be about. Some newspapers--NY Times, for instance--are already doing it. I'm surprized, frankly, that an enterprise as progressive and innovative as Taunton is still dragging its feet.
*My favorite tv hardware is a 'Lazy Luka'.It is a limb from one of the many vine maples on my property. Trimmed and used for hitting the power and volume buttons on the tv from my computer chair.: )
*I'll mention it to my clients and see if they bite...
*Ed,Have you tried the Mepla Alfit unit?Do you know if these (sliding TV swivels in general) are as wobbly as FHB #120 implies? The accuride looks good as it mounts to the base of the cab so I can use pocket doors as well. Thanks,Dan
