Leach field replacement, infiltrator systems
It appears as if I may have to replace my leach field? Anyone have any experinece with using infiltrator systems in ground that is VERY soggy in the spring (I am about 100 yards from the Ohio river)? I will probably go with the tried and true pvc and gravel, is there a site that might help determine if one layout is better than another?
Thanks
Tom

Inflitrator systems are comparable to pvc and gravel. Nothing will work very well in soggy soil, but if you are not dealing with actual high ground water, the capacity of the infiltrator should be an advantage.
How is it that you get to make this decision? Where I live, a septic system must be designed by an approved septic designer, that plan must be approved by the county health officer, and the system must be installed and maintained by a licensed/approved contractor. I should think that your site, within 100 yards of the Ohio river, must fall into some jurisdiction. You better check into that.
