Hey anybody know who's butt i would have to kiss to get on monster house that is my new goal in life :)
This from a guy that works alone.
What are the responsibilities of your current foremen? Would you be including them in the lead program? How long have you been working around your dad and those two foremen?
Your experience could long overshadow your youth. Still, companies have been thrown off balance with the promotion of the kid to a higher position w/o graduating through the ranks. It would be a drag (if only perceived) for the company to have an emotional hiccup. I would think all would be comfortable with you and the others on an even line as leads.
I'm sure you'll hear from folks here that might have a more hands on opinion of what you ask. Best of luck.
And it wouldn't be mine.........to get on that show.

First off I am one of two foremen I handle all the trim work and the other handles the framing and some concrete. We are required to just keep the guys busy and teach them the trade if they are willing to learn. Neither of the foremen hire employees and rarely do we let them go, we do some work with change orders but that is about the extent of it for paper work. I have been working construction with my father for the better part of 16 years (many as a gopher). I am not sure if the other foreman has the people skills to handle the lead carpenter system.Obstacles are the things you see when you take your eyes from the goal!
