I’ve got a solid-surface vanity/countertop with blended-in bowl. Noticed a water drip coming from the plastic overflow tube, right where it goes into the drain “flange” area.
From attached pic you can see that the tube is “caulked” in, with what appears to be silicone.
How do I fix this leak? Pull out the tube and re-silicone it? Is there a better way?
It leaks even tho the sink isn’t filled to the overflow.
TIA
Phil

Let it dry out completely, wipe around the joint with paint thinner on a clean pice of toilet paper, wipe dry with another clean tissue, then silicon between the tube and bead of existing silicon.
Don't use paint thinner. Wash/scrape away any crud, then wipe it with acetone, or a "liquid sandpaper" preparation.
But it looks like a new sink. I'd complain to the manufacturer.
It's 5 years old. I kinda doubt there's any warranty left.
Pretty clean for five years old -- did you clean it up for the picture?
(In any event, it can't hurt to contact the mfgr, if you can figure that out.)
Nope, I didn't clean it up for pictures! LOL We don't have kids yet!
Probably easier to fix it myself than try to get the manufacturer involved.
