I dug a 2 acre pond with a dam in middle Tn. that won`t hold water.I`ve heard remidies such as turning loose a bunch of hogs in the pond to bentinite clay(expensive)Any more sugestions?

There's bound to be cheaper clay around than bentonite. Where's the nearest brick factory? Ask excavators and road builders, they'll know where the clay is. Or the county roads department. Ask other land owners with dug ponds if they had to line theirs and what they used.
Do you have any idea if the whole bottom is too porous or if it's all draining out of a few spots?
I've never heard of the hog process before. Does that depend on there already being clay in the soil that they stomp into a sticky goo, or is it the manure that does the job?
i heard that when they were building canals here ( the UK) they lined them with 12" of clay and then ran herds of cows up and down to packit all down.
