They have left handed models.
Don't call me daughter.
thanks i look into it
so which one is it ?
Ive been a lefty all my life and I use the same the right does. only thing different , I dont vote with them.
Tim
I was a little light in the wallet when I started out; bought an Occidental belt and one pouch. Over the years, I've added and subtracted and added again to the same belt....pouches, hammer loops, several sets of padded suspenders...but whatever the new item was, I got used to it being where I wanted it.
I'm a righty, but, over time, I don't think it matters. If I woke up one morning to find myself a lefty, I believe that, within a week, I would be in synch with my belt, although I'd probably shift a few things around that first morning (having your primary nail pouch on the same side as your hammer isn't overly efficient).
Now, if you're asking because you want a belt made up in the factory for lefties, I'm no help.
Look closely at Occidental Leather's bags and belts. I'm a left too, and with some searching and really putting some thought into it, I found a set up that works great for me. No compromises. I couldn't buy, as a set, the rig I really wanted. So I cherry picked the bags and accessories that worked for me.
Worth every penny too. I used to go through a cheap set of bags every six months or so. I've had my Occi's for three years now and they're no where near ready for retirement.
But boy are they heavy!

I have the green ones, not the leather ones. Mine aren't so bad at all unless I get stupid and carry around half the trailer with them..... which tends to happen between cleanings.View Image
I staarted wishing I'd gotten the woven soon after getting my leathers. They needed a couple rainstorms to break inn good though. BTW, They will hold water.

I got a new set of leather bags awhile ago and just started using them. The other day it rained while I was framing some exterior stairs and them bags filled up wtih water and saw dust in a hurry.
Weighed about 20 lbs more by the end of the day. All my other bags were the ballistic nylon never had that problem with those.
Mine hold water too. My chalk line bobbed up to the surface when we got caught holding a tarp down in a crazy thunderstorm that came up out of nowhere this summer during an add-a-level. I looked down and thought I'd been shot. (Red chalk)
The break in time is killer with Occi's though. The upper leather part of the bags (the part that the belt threads through) was murder for the first couple weeks for me. Now they're like a ball glove and fit me just perfect. Like custom.View Image
yeah, thanks i'll look into it, i bought plenty of cheap belts and i'm always switching the bags around but nothing works
Mine are the Cordura (black) with leather bottoms.....about 14 years old now and still in pretty good shape.
But then, I'm not always framing so mine probably get about 1/3rd the mileage yours do.
Only heavy when I make them that way.

Yep. 14 years huh? That's encouraging.View Image
