I need to install a hot tub on a sloping concrete patio. The patio runs 1.5 – 2 inches over the length of the hot tub. I do not want to destroy the exposed agregate so that it may be returned to normal when the hot tub is removed.
What ever is added to the concrete, I need to allow water to escape on the downhill side and do not want the water to freeze and cause heave type issues.
Doen anyone have suggestions on what types of solutions might work in this instance?
Thanks

Rip plastic wood shime as long as the tub width. Lay 'em about 8" OC. Cover with two layers concrete backer board with offset joints. Tile.
