Dad brought me this light bulb tonight and asked if I’d ever seen one like it. (I haven’t)
It looks like a headlamp, but it came out of a track light can. On the face of the bulb it has the “GE” logo. But there’s no writing or other marks on the back.
He took it to Ace Hardware, but they couldn’t come up with anything.
So I was hoping some of you might have seen bulbs like it and have some idea where we could get some bulbs.
Here’s a couple of pics:
If we weren’t meant to eat animals, why are they made of meat?

What is the diameter of the bulb to the nearest 1/8". That is the first way that bulbs are speced.
Also what thickness from front to back.
Is there any possibility of there being a transform in the track can?
And can you get a picture of the track can?
Also look in the can (or on the back) for a lable. They should give some indication of the type (wattage, size and voltage) of the bulbs that it will take.
All of them that I could find with PAR sealed beans with right angle terminals where 12.8 volts for tractors.

But looking in the incandenscent catalog I see some with med sid pr (medium side pair) connection that look like that bulb.
The have 150 and 200 watt version in Par46 size.
Also have smaller wattage Par38 bulbs, but those appear to be a light long bulb.

I look in the GE catalogs too, like Bill, but I couldn't find anything.
Stupid question but are you sure there isn't a separate bulb inside?
Any change that metal thing on top separates from the larger "bulb?"
I've never seem a base like that (looks like a standard 2 prong plug from here).
EDIT: I stand corrected. Should have known Bill was right.
Thar she blows:

Dang! That was quick. You guys are great. I appreciate your efforts. I've already printed the page out and will give it to Dad tomorrow. Hopefully with the correct part number he can track down some bulbs somewhere. I owe y'all one...
Laughing helps. It's like jogging on the inside.
tell your dad to be sure and check the plug and wiring for any melting or arcing if there is any at all replace with phenolic or porcelin socket not plastic or vinyl these suckers get hot and generally there is not much ventilation.
If it is the PAR46 size with the side terminals it is available in the following sizes.41968 150PAR46/3MFL 150 watt medium flood.2_0115 200PAR46/3NSP 200 watt narrow spot20138 200PAR46/3MFL 200 watt medium flood20117 200PAR46/3NSP 200 watt/130v spot20140 200PAR46/3MFL 200 watt/130v floodNote the first 5 digits is the order code it is specific to the bulb while the same type number is used for both 120 and 130 volt versions.
Looks like a 12 volt par 36 flood.
Could this be it?View Image

Found it in the Bulbman.com catalog.
My first thought was..."those are gonna cost bigtime whenever and wherever you find 'em". Maybe not though, the bright lights here found 'em pretty quick.
Like your tag line BTW....I've always thought "without meat potatoes are pointless".
