Few people understand it. Nobody agrees what it is, how to learn about it, or who's responsible for it. It has never been more important

don't know what your particular application is--------------
but--if you go to a roofing material supplier--not a lumber yard-- but a place that specializes in the roofing industry
they have something called "pourable sealant"
basically for EPDM-- their are many pre-fabbed flashings for roof penatrations---- but sometimes pipes and electrical wires protrude awkwardly----- the pourable sealant works great in those applications.
Be warned--it comes out of the container with a consistency of heavy paint----so you need to dam it into the area you want to confine it to---or it will simply spread all over the roof.-----------it cures into a rubber like consistency
and it is grey in color---if that's a problem for you.

and specifically, http://www.miracote.com/download/Tab%209%20-%20Miracote%20Data%20Sheets/Membrane%20A%20Code%20MIR%20225.pdf
That looks like a sweet product.
Have you been using with shower floors?
No. I used it under their Mirastamp thin concrete product on a solid deck.
Using a notched squeegie (http://www.midwestrake.com I got mine from a specialty tool store), you get a nice even coat. In my app, they recommended two coats, each about 25 mills thick.
Have you attended any of their training courses?
The more one reads of this product the better it sounds.
Good ad promos.
Yes.
The website refers to some training sessions. This changes from time to time. I hit a two day introductory program out on the shakey side almost two years ago. Well worth the time. (If you take the wife, the Queen Mary is just a few miles down the freeway. It's a hotel and the prices are reasonable.)
They have some epoxy applications that'll drop your jaw.
But for a specific application or help with one, I've found their regional reps great to work with.
