First time poster….long time lurker. I have almost finished a bathroom remodel project. All I lack is the vanity. My wife wants me to build her a floating shelf type vanity attached to two walls. I’ll attach a rough sketch that I have drawn up in sketchup. The long side and the shorter side to the right will be attached to 2X4 ledgers attached with lag screws to the wall studs. The longer side is 53″ and the shorter side is 12″. The narrow end is 12″. Take a look and give me some guidance. Will it work?

It'll work. You may want to build a chase to hide the plumbing... and a bit of a bowl to keep the water running down that hole.
Here's a jpeg of your drawing, not everybody has sketchup... don't ask me why <G>
Winterlude by the telephone wire,
Winterlude, it's makin' me lazy,
Come on, sit by the logs in the fire.
The moonlight reflects from the window
Where the snowflakes, they cover the sand.
Come out tonight, ev'rything will be tight,
Winterlude, this dude thinks you're grand.
Hairy CU- what kind of blasphemy is this?http://grantlogan.net/
But you all knew that. I detailed it extensively in my blog.
"and a bit of a bowl to keep the water running down that hole"
LOL, I have a top-mounted copper bowl to go on it.
Thanks for the reply.
