found this in another forum, I have absolutely no other knowledge or association. ๐ i do plan to try them out on a new brochure
at this site, basically you offer an amount to design logos, web presence, etc, and various designers will compete, showing samples and letting you guide the process. look in the forums and you can watch projects come together. there is some pretty good work there, for cheap.

Great website - fascinating watching the logos come together following the feedback process. Interesting concept, too. Just feel bad for all the entries not chosen, but I guess they are winning enough to stay on board. Some of those not chosen seemed better than the winners!
Thanks again for posting that link! I've submitted my first project to them, excited to see how it goes. Here's the link if you're interested

what is "Tenant Improvements"
TI: office or retail space remodels to existing space for commercial clients - i.e., a business rents a spot in a mall or commercial building, the T.I. is to build out the space to meet their needs.

Well, I finally picked a winner. Very happy with the entries, and with the final selection. I will likely be returning to the site for further projects.
Huck, I like your new card. If you get that done on high quality glossy stock, it will be impressive. A matte finish might be excellent too. Don't skimp on the card stock or finish.
Im curious, how much did the design cost you at that site?

thanks, blue - it cost me $110. The winning designer gets $100, and the site gets a 10% commission. The minimum for a business card is $65, but you can set the amount at whatever you want. Obviously, the higher you set the price, the more interest from the designers. But I feel I got a lotta bang for my $100, and actually felt a little guilty for the hard work from those that didn't win.I had to pay the $110 up front, then the moderator holds the money until I announce a winner. I think another thing that helped was that I gave them plenty of deadline time, and didn't pressure them. The longer that carrot dangles out there, the more likely you'll get more entries. I only ended it early because I got one I liked, and didn't see the point of making the other designers keep jumping through hoops.I'm talking with a direct-mail marketing company right now, and I'll likely be back to the site for the design of my postcard-ad. (BreakTime has educated me to the importance of advertising/branding, and I'm taking a whole new tack for my business).
